FUJILOK Nuts:

The AISI-301 Stainless Steel inserts are not affected by alcohol, gasoline, oil or commercial solvents. Seating of nut is not necessary for locking action. Nut will lock on bolt when a minimum of one bolt thread extends above nut. See following page C25 for list of stock sizes of FUJILOK Nuts.

TS = TENSILE STRENGTH OF BOLT, MINIMUM YS = YIELD STRENGTH OF BOLT, MINIMUM The torque figures in this chart when used as recommended above should result in a fastener tension which is equal to 60% of the ultimate yield strength of the fastener material, and the coefficient is 0.2. They are computed using the following formula: T = 0.2(0.6 x Ó y) x As x d + RT Where T = Torque figures Ó y = Ultimate tensile strength As = Tensile stress area d = Nominal size RT = Run-down torque The torque figures are suggested to be increased for a given job as much as 80% or more for stainless steel above those figures in the chart, as the material is stressed less than those fasteners made of steel.
