C-1035 Steel - Hot Dipped Galvanized Finish *Shackles meet Federal Specifications RRC-271D Type IV Size and workload are permanently marked on all shackles. Loads are based on a safety factor of 5 to 1. When tested, all shackles are pulled at a uniform rate of speed in a direct tension. WARNING: Any deviations as angular lifts, shock loads, modification of the basic forging, etc. will result in drastically reduced maximum loads.
