Arched Rectangular/round types

*Recommended diameter tolerance of stud for PH and PZ fasteners is ± .005"; for PA fasteners, +.002" and -.003". Surface hardness of stud must not exceed Rockwell 30T-78. Nickel-chrome plating on studs for PH fasteners must not exceed .001". Nickel-chrome plating or other hard finishes not recommended on steel studs for PA fasteners. Arched types provide spring tension or “take- up” to compensate for unavoidable slack. Round styles require minimum space. These styles developoptimumclamping strengthonly when the body arch is substantially flattened against thework. Therefore, thebearingsurface must be hard enough for the fastener edge to slide on, strong enough to resist breaking, and rigid enough not to yield. See page C100 for Tinnerman Tools
