KLIPRING The Klipring is a unique heavy-duty radially-assembled ring which provides substantially greater gripping strength and load capacity than conventional E-rings and similar fasteners. It is thicker than conventional rings, and has tapered-section bending arms which exert very strong spring pressure when the ring is assembled. Kliprings can be assembled easily with an ordinary pair of slip-joint pliers, or can be tapped into a groove with a mallet or hammer. A screw driver inserted under the tapered section can be used to pry the ring off the shaft quickly. The ring is reusable following disassembly.

The Klipring is designed to be installed in a deep groove, having a larger diameter than the ring’s free diameter. The ring also can be used as a spacer washer - it is merely slipped over a shaft of the same diameter as the ring’s free diameter.

Thickness “t” applies only to unplated rings. For plated rings, add .002" to the listed maximum thickness. Maximum ring thickness will be at least .0002" less than the listed minimum groove width (W). t Y S
